Arnold B. Stein is a Senior Partner with Schiller DuCanto & Fleck LLP, the nation’s largest matrimonial law firm. He specializes in the litigation of complex financial cases. After graduating from the University of Illinois with high honors and selection as a Phi Beta Kappa, he attended and graduated from Northwestern University Law School.
Mr. Stein has over 30 years of trial experience and is recognized as one of Chicago's leading trial lawyers in the domestic relations area. In 2006 he was voted by his peers as one of the top 100 lawyers in the State of Illinois. In addition to litigating or negotiating settlements in many major Illinois cases, he has lectured extensively on many trial-oriented topics in his capacity as former chairman of the Family Law Section of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and co-chairman of the Trial Practice Committee of the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association. Through speeches and workshops for the annual meetings of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society, he has taught accountants how to present effective testimony on business valuations, and he has been a guest speaker on Pre and Post-Nuptial Agreements to the Family Forum of the Family Business Center of Loyola University.
Mr. Stein is listed in Who's Who of American Lawyers and has been named in Naifeh and Smith's Best Lawyers in America as one of the nation's top divorce attorneys since 1991.
Mr. Stein’s practice includes litigation in jurisdictions outside Illinois. He has been admitted on a case by case basis to represent clients in complex divorce matters in Virginia, Florida, Colorado, Missouri, Arizona and New York.
