Attorneys

Ms. Kotz began her career at Schiller DuCanto & Fleck LLP in 1996 as a law clerk and became an associate in 1998. Ms. Kotz obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from Bucknell University (1992) and her Juris Doctorate degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law (1998), after transferring in her second year from Pepperdine University School of Law, where she was a member of the Pepperdine Law Review.  In 2005, Ms. Kotz was elected partner; in 2006, was selected one of the “40 Under 40 Illinois Attorneys to Watch” by the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin and inducted into the Leading Lawyers Network of Top Family Law Lawyers; from 2008 to 2010 was listed in as a  "Rising Star" by Illinois Super Lawyers magazine, and in 2009 Ms. Kotz received certification in Collaborative Law.  With experience in corporate financial analysis and trial support for which she is certified by the University of California Los Angeles, she now concentrates in the areas of discovery and complex financial litigation and child custody. Ms. Kotz is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association and the American Bar Association and is a past Chair of the CBA Young Lawyers Division, Family Law Committee. Ms. Kotz has lectured on family law topics for the IICLE, the Chicago Bar Association, and the DePaul Law Society.
