Admitted to the bar in 2001, Jay Dahlin has been with Schiller DuCanto & Fleck LLP since 2003. His practice concentrates on financially complex divorce matters and contested custody litigation. In 2009 Super Lawyers named Mr. Dahlin an Illinois Rising Star, and in 2008 he was named as one of the Law Bulletin Publishing Company’s “40 Illinois Attorneys Under 40 to Watch.” Mr. Dahlin is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the DePaul University College of Law, an IICLE speaker on “Analysis and Attack of Custody Evaluation Reports,” and a graduate of the prestigious American Bar Association Trial Advocacy Institute. Mr. Dahlin obtained his Bachelor of Arts (1998) and his Juris Doctorate (2001) degrees from the University of Illinois, where he was a Lincoln Scholar, a James Scholar, and received the Rickert Award for Excellence in Oral Advocacy as well as the CALI Award for Outstanding Performance in Estates and Trusts. Upon graduation, he practiced complex commercial litigation for a large international firm before joining Schiller DuCanto & Fleck LLP where his practice now concentrates on the litigation of high net worth family law matters. Mr. Dahlin is a former clerk for both the offices of the United States Attorney and the Illinois Attorney General, and is a member of the American and Illinois Bar Associations.
