An accomplished appellate attorney with more than 20 years of experience, Brian A. Schroeder excels at complex divorce cases that require his strong analytical, research and problem-solving capabilities. Mr. Schroeder’s extensive background in civil litigation offers clients a level of courtroom savvy that is exceptional among family attorneys. He made the law in Illinois regarding the custody and use of frozen embryos when couples separate. He has experience in LGBT legal issues, and made the law in Illinois concerning property rights for same-sex partners. Mr. Schroeder received a B. A. with honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He received his law degree, cum laude, from Northern Illinois University, where he was a Notes and Comments Editor for the Law Review.
