More Than a Summer Associate Program
Schiller DuCanto & Fleck’s law clerk program is an unparalleled experience for anyone considering a career in family law. Unlike summer associate programs that last only a few months and cannot give an accurate idea of the depth of a practice, the program at Schiller DuCanto & Fleck introduces law clerks to every aspect of the practice. The firm takes a multidisciplinary approach to training so that individuals hired from the clerking program can make a seamless transition into practice. This approach includes a series of substantive seminars presented by this firm’s partners on all facets of the practice area; structured shadowing of attorneys at meetings, depositions, and court appearances; and opportunities to work directly with the firm’s Chicago family law attorneys on cases.
The firm’s law clerks have access to the same in-house training programs developed for associate attorneys of the firm. Any law clerk who completes the program will emerge with a real world/real time view of the practice of family law. Law students in the program have an advantage when being considered for associate positions.
