Our firm is pleased to announce that DePaul University’s Schiller DuCanto & Fleck Family Law Center hosted its annual Family Law Symposium on “The Current State of Elder Law” on October 12, 2020.
As part of the virtual CLE panel discussion, Senior Partner Anita Ventrelli shared insights on how Elder and Family Law intersect, support changes, and what clients can do to protect themselves when faced with legal issues. Panelists and attendees explored important matters related to advance directives and guardianships, societal and family transformations as a result of caregiving, medical aid-in-dying, relevant case law updates, LGBTQ Senior rights, and how to protect the elderly against financial exploitation.
