Schiller DuCanto & Fleck LLP is proud to announce that Senior Partner Carlton Marcyan has been named the number one Collaborative Divorce attorney in Illinois by Leading Lawyers Magazine Consumer Edition 2019.  Carlton also landed in the Top 10 for both Family Law and Suburban Chicago, and was recognized in the Top 100 for Consumer practice.

”There are many fine lawyers in Illinois; it is gratifying to be recognized by my peers to be in the Top 10 of the thousands of Illinois lawyers who represent divorce clients in the Collaborative Process who litigate domestic relations cases.  Divorce law involves sophisticated financial analysis of holdings, division of assets and cash flow; being both a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Financial Planner is a big positive as well as having an MBA.  This background and skill bring a lot to the table for clients.” – Carlton Marcyan

Carlton understands that gaining beneficial financial settlements is a priority for clients. Well-regarded by lawyers, financial professionals, the business community and judges, Carlton represents high-level executives, entrepreneurs, professionals and their spouses.  While he is a savvy and experienced litigator, he recognizes that the courtroom is not the right divorce process for every client.  Carlton’s respectful style, intelligent approach and ability to listen carefully to his clients have earned him a reputation as a widely known leader in divorce litigation and collaborative divorce.

Among Carlton’s many career achievements and accolades, he was named the 2018, 2014, and 2011 “Lawyer of the Year” for Chicago Collaborative Law and family law “Lawyer of the Year” in 2012 by The Best Lawyers in America©.  Additionally, he has been recognized by Illinois Super Lawyers since 2005.  He is a senior partner with Schiller DuCanto & Fleck, LLP and its former chairman and managing partner.  At present he is president-elect of the Illinois chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts whose membership is made up of attorneys, mental health and financial professionals.  He is past president of many bar associations and professional groups and  married for the past thirty-three years to Ana Cusack Marcyan with three adult children.
