Schiller DuCanto & Fleck LLP is pleased to announce that Associate Elaine Knowles shared insights on essential legal topics including prenuptial agreements and what couples need to know when purchasing large assets as part of a Young Professional Panel discussion and networking breakfast hosted by Alliance Bernstein on Wednesday, January 22, 2020.
The interactive discussion covered financial, career and legal considerations young professionals face and provided helpful tips to navigate to the next stage in life and achieve long-term success. Elaine talked about the importance of securing a prenuptial agreement especially for those who are starting their own business. Additionally, with the significant advancements in technology and various communication platforms, the divorce process has become more complicated as couples can draw upon (and sometimes take out of context) texts and social media posts as evidence to build a case. Having a prenuptial agreement in place helps simplify proceedings related to the division of assets.
Joining Elaine on the panel were Nick Nelson, a Financial Advisor with Alliance Bernstein, and Elise Gelwicks, Founder and CEO of Eleview Consulting. Foram Soni Sheth, co-founder and Chief Coaching Officer of Ama La Vida, moderated the conversation.
