Caroline Lowenberg, an Associate at Schiller DuCanto & Fleck LLP, focuses her practice on intricate business financial matters and provides comprehensive solutions to clients navigating all facets of marriage dissolution. She is recognized for her strong business acumen, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Caroline's passion for courtroom advocacy, paired with her attentive listening skills and analytical approach, led her to pursue a career in family law early in her legal education. During her time in law school, she served as a law clerk at Schiller DuCanto & Fleck, where she gained invaluable hands-on experience handling highly complex family law matters. Following her bar admission, she seamlessly transitioned into her role as an associate with the firm.
Prior to joining Schiller DuCanto & Fleck, Caroline worked at the Daley Center "People Without Lawyers" help desk. In this capacity, she provided patrons with essential legal information related to various areas, including domestic relations, municipal matters, foreclosures, wrongful evictions, and elder abuse. Caroline played a pivotal role in bridging the gap between patrons dealing with complex legal issues and pro bono attorneys. Additionally, she worked at the Legal Aid Chicago Juvenile Expungement Help Desk, where she facilitated the expungement process by drafting eligibility letters, filing legal documents with the clerk's office, and maintaining client communication regarding expungement status.
Caroline earned her Juris Doctorate from DePaul University College of Law in 2023, concentrating her studies on business law and earning a Business Law Certificate. During her tenure at DePaul, Caroline was selected as a Schiller DuCanto & Fleck Family Law Fellow, reflecting her dedication to the field. Furthermore, she actively participated in the Child & Family Law Association, serving as Vice President and Treasurer. Caroline also worked as a research assistant and teaching assistant for two esteemed professors. Her exceptional academic performance was consistently acknowledged, as she received the Dean's Scholarship throughout her three years of law school and was consistently named to the Dean's list each semester.
Caroline earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Loyola University in Political science and History. While at Loyola University, she was a member of Phi Alpha Theta, an American history society for undergraduate and graduate students of history, Pi Sigma Alpha, the only honor society for university students of political and social sciences in the United States, and the Order of Omega honor society. She also served as a delegate for Loyola Chicago at the Student Conference of U.S. Foreign Affairs at West Point, and she was Vice President of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.
