Gabrielle Kahn is an Associate at Schiller DuCanto & Fleck LLP. She focuses her practice on high stakes Family Law cases related to the dissolution of marriage, property distribution, complex financial matters, and visitation and parentage issues. A strong researcher, writer, and analytical problem solver, Gabrielle is well-versed in a wide variety of divorce procedural issues. She understands complex financial compliance and privacy issues, and proactively works with clients to ensure they are well-informed in any decision they choose to make.

Gabrielle was accepted into Schiller DuCanto & Fleck’s rigorous clerking program during her first semester of law school, where her responsibilities included assisting with complex discovery matters, motion drafting, trial preparation, and extensive research on issues surrounding Illinois Code of Civil Procedure and the Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act. She also established a working knowledge in the preparation and analysis of financial spreadsheets and documents commonly utilized in family law cases. Upon passing the Illinois State Bar, Gabrielle was hired on as a full-time associate with the firm.

Prior to joining Schiller DuCanto & Fleck, Gabrielle worked as a law clerk at a family law firm in Columbus, Ohio where she communicated with opposing counsel, frequently corresponded with clients, tracked billing for partners and associates, and organized case files and pleading indexes to prepare for trial.

Gabrielle earned her Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law in 2021 with a certificate in Business Law. She graduated cum laude and was consistently named to the Dean’s List. While in law school, Gabrielle served as the Executive Editor for the DePaul Law Review, where she maintained the integrity of the DePaul Law Review through a thorough analysis of legal authority relied on in all publications. Gabrielle enjoys the challenge of applying legal principles to new, convoluted circumstances, especially through advocacy in writing. Her article “Determining Legal Custody in a Divorce Proceeding: When the Health of a Child Hinges on Their Parents’ Religion” was selected for publication in Volume 70 of the DePaul Law Review. Gabrielle received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University in 2018.
