Heather Egan is an Associate at Schiller DuCanto & Fleck LLP. She focuses her practice on helping clients with case strategy on all aspects of family law matters including but not limited to pre-decree, post-decree and parentage issues. Heather’s refined eye for detail and exceptional negotiation skills allow her to craft creative solutions to some of the most complex marital/divorce matters.
Prior to joining Schiller DuCanto & Fleck, Heather began her legal career as a law clerk for the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office where she reviewed the criminal history of misdemeanor defendants using intricate reporting systems to negotiate plea deals with opposing counsel. Following her time there, Heather worked as an associate for two other law firms in Illinois. In addition to her family law work, Heather also has experience representing banks, condominium and homeowner’s associations in an array of legal matters including collection of unpaid assessments.

She earned her Juris Doctorate from DePaul University College of Law in 2017, where she was a Family Law Fellowship recipient and earned the CALI award for Contracts. Additionally, Heather was named to the Dean’s list several times throughout her law school career. Heather earned her Bachelor of Arts from Purdue University in 2009 where she majored in Law and Society.
In her free time, Heather enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children, travelling, playing Fantasy Football, and watching reality television.
