Sarah C. Miruzzi is a family law attorney at Schiller DuCanto & Fleck LLP. Ms. Miruzzi has dedicated her studies and career to family law, and she recognizes that every family's needs are different. She prides herself on offering her clients practical solutions to extremely emotional and complex situations. Ms. Miruzzi works vehemently with her clients to identify and achieve their goals in order for them to confidently begin a new chapter of their lives.
Ms. Miruzzi began her career at Schiller DuCanto & Fleck LLP as a law clerk in 2014 and was hired as an Associate in 2015. She earned her Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law where she focused her studies on family law, litigation, mediation and alternative dispute resolution. Throughout her years at Chicago-Kent, Ms. Miruzzi explored her passion for family law by working in the Family Law Clinic, which exposed her to virtually every aspect of the divorce process. She also obtained her certification as a mediator with the Center for Conflict Resolution, where she settled several cases and experience first-hand the benefits of resolving conflicts amicably. As a result, Ms. Miruzzi graduated with a certificate in Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution and, in the appropriate circumstances, uses that knowledge to guide her clients through the Alternative Dispute Resolution process and negotiate favorable settlements.

While in law school, Ms. Miruzzi also clerked for the Honorable Leida J. Gonzales Santiago in the Domestic Relations Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County. During her time there, she immersed herself in the world of litigation and obtained invaluable insight on successful litigation strategies. Ms. Miruzzi concentrates her practice on complex custody, property and financial matters, and her background and experience in the various legal channels allows her to guide her clients in a direction that best fits their individual needs.
Ms. Miruzzi received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from The University of Iowa in 2012. During her time at The University of Iowa, Ms. Miruzzi volunteered her time to a variety of philanthropic endeavors dedicated to benefiting the Domestic Violence Intervention Program, which offers shelter, support, and advocacy services to victims of domestic violence.
