Tracey Wertman is a partner with Schiller DuCanto & Fleck who has practiced exclusively in the area of family law for more than two decades. She has held multiple leadership positions at some of the most prestigious family law firms in Chicago, including being the first female to be elevated to Income Partner in 2004 at a high net worth divorce firm in Chicago.  

Throughout her family law career, Tracey has handled complex financial matters, multi-million-dollar estates, contested business valuations, tracing assets/income, child support/maintenance issues, premarital/postmarital agreements and contested custody/allocation of parental responsibility disputes. She has extensive trial/hearing experience relative to both financial and child related matters. Tracey has taken and defended depositions of parties, experts, and witnesses. She has prepared numerous family law related pleadings, including but not limited to motions, petitions, responses, replies, allocation judgments, martial settlement agreements and proposed Judgments for Dissolutions of Marriage with findings of fact.

Prior to joining Schiller DuCanto & Fleck, Tracey was a partner at a competing firm in Chicago where she worked on several cases on the opposing side. Having built a reputation of professionalism, civility, and ethics, Tracey has developed significant professional relationships with many family law experts, guardian ad litems/child’s representatives and attorneys in the family law community, as well as judges in the family law division. 

Tracey began her legal career as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Summit County, Ohio for six years before transitioning her practice to family law. Through her experience as an assistant prosecutor, Tracey gained invaluable experience in the courtroom representing Summit County Ohio at both state and federal levels. She also spent a year clerking for the Honorable David D. Dowd of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
