Michele Jochner Shares Key Insights As A National Legal Leader Interviewed In Best Lawyers’ 30th Anniversary Edition

Jochner has been featured in an exclusive interview by Best Lawyers on “Perspectives Through the Decades.” In the article, Michele and other national legal thought leaders were invited to mark the 30th Anniversary of The Best Lawyers in America by reflecting on the many changes and challenges in the legal profession over the past three decades and the impact that recognition by Best Lawyers has had on their careers.

Since the first issue of Best Lawyers magazine came out in 1983, the legal field has constantly evolved and adapted to changing societal and technological landscapes, with new practice areas being formed to address emerging risks in business, healthcare, and more. Technology has also transformed the practice, including by enabling remote court proceedings unheard of prior to the pandemic. With her recognition in The Best Lawyers in America since 2015 in the practice area of Family Law, Michele offers insights into these fundamental changes and what’s next for the profession.  As one example, she shares her experiences as the immediate past chair of the Illinois Supreme Court’s Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) Board, during which Michele championed the harnessing of technology for advancing continuing legal education, both by transforming the content of educational offerings into interactive, on-demand experiences, and also using technology to create an innovative transcript systems to streamline credit tracking for attorneys.
